Hi! And welcome to HM Photography and The Real and Raw launch day!!

I can't believe I'm able to take this full time! It's an absolute dream come true that I didn't think was possible, but here we are!

Let's get to know me!

I'm Haylee Marchesani! I just got married to my best friend in the whole world, Jeremy. He is my biggest supporter and the biggest reason I get to take my business and blog full time and turn it into something I am proud of!

Jeremy and I are expecting our first, a little girl, in June! I could not be more thrilled to get to have a daughter! Having a full time business that I can do from home is amazing. It gives me the chance to be with our daughter and get to enjoy the life of a stay at home mom. Having the ability of homeschooling her and her future siblings is exactly the kind of life Jeremy and I want for them. I cannot thank Jeremy enough for encouraging me to pursue this full time!

I am graduating from Iowa State University in May! I'll have a bachelors in liberal arts. I focused a lot on communications, both visual and written. I also focused a lot on marketing and entrepreneurship. My background in school definitely has helped me grow my business!

Now a little bit about HM Photography.

This started in probably summer of 2017. I would do a lot of mobile photography of my siblings. Then, in March 2021 I found a cheap Canon Rebel on Facebook Marketplace and decided that I'd start to take a few photos on that here and there. It started as mostly taking photos of my siblings. But, then I got into doing college seniors at Iowa State. I knew I always liked photography, but turning it into a side hustle was so much fun. As a college kid, a bit of side cash is always nice, and it was super fun to do so I defiantly didn't mind.

As I have gotten closer to graduation, I realized I did NOT want a 9-5 job. I did not like the idea of sending our daughter to daycare or missing milestones in her life. Plus, daycare is SOO expensive. We have also both felt very called to homeschooling. This allows us to do this and give her the best homeschooling experience possible.

I blogged A LOT in high school! It was all faith blogs, lots about dating, etc. Things your average high school teen girl probably needed to read. My goal is to get back to that! We will see how often I blog though with having an infant!

This photography website is going to look a wee bit different than most. Theres of course the photography side of things, but then also the blog side! Here I will write about EVERYTHING. From being a photographer, to my journey through motherhood, and eventually homeschooling! I am here for a good laugh, cry, comforting words. Life is CRAZY! Especially motherhood and NEW motherhood! I'm so excited you are here to read my jumble of words and I pray you find comfort in some of them!

Get ready for some really raw, real, beautifully messy moments! We will run on coffee, Jesus, and probably quite a bit of 90s country. I am here to write all about mine, and share in these journeys with you!
